When will Meat & Moss open?

 

We plan on opening in the Spring of 2025! While our butcher shop won't be open until then, our Provisions Division is fully operational and ready to serve you with a variety of products and services in the meantime.

Will you offer organic or grass-fed options?

 

Yes, we will offer a selection of organic and grass-fed options! We are committed to providing high-quality, sustainable products and will ensure that these options are available for our customers who prioritize healthy, ethical choices.

What forms of payment will you accept?

 

We will accept a variety of payment methods, including credit and debit cards, mobile payment options (such as Apple Pay and Google Pay), as well as cash. We strive to make the payment process as convenient as possible for all our customers.​

Will you accept food stamps (SNAP) as a form of payment?

 

Initially, we will not accept food stamps (SNAP) as a form of payment until our application can be reviewed and our system configured to accept this form of payment. We will keep you updated if this changes and we can offer this form of payment sooner.​

Will the meat be sold at wholesale or retail pricing?

 

Our meat will primarily be sold at retail pricing, offering high-quality cuts for individual customers. However, we will also offer bulk pricing for custom orders, catering to businesses or larger needs. Please contact us directly for more information on bulk options.

Do you offer your own meats or do customers bring in their own to be processed?

 

We offer our own carefully sourced meats for sale, ensuring top-quality cuts for our customers. We do not currently offer processing services for customer-provided meats, but we focus on providing a wide selection of high-quality products from trusted suppliers.

Will you offer specialty cuts like lamb, goat and bison?

Our main proteins will be beef, poultry and pork. However, our goal is to provide a diverse selection of meats that cater to a variety of tastes and preferences if and when we can ensure availability and quality.

Where are your meats coming from and will they be locally sourced?

Our meats will come from trusted suppliers who are USDA certified. We are committed to sourcing locally whenever possible, supporting nearby farms to bring you fresh, high-quality options. We will keep you informed about the origin of our products as we build strong relationships with local producers.

Where does event planning and mobile services fit into the butcher shop?​

Great question! The "moss" part of our name allows us to offer mobile services and "cover ground" in the community. Provisions is a division of the Meat & Moss Company that expands our services and highlights our commitment to serving our community with the mission of delivering exceptional service, convenience, flexibility, and creativity for all types of events.

​

Even though the butcher shop is not open yet, Provisions is actively booking events as it does not require a physical location to operate its business.
